Although I have been doing Internet based research for the weekend games, I've just realised there is a fatal flaw with my approach. And that is, in my excitement to get the Saturday bets on, I'm often placing them Friday or even Thursday. This means that my purchase and review of both the Racing and Football Outlook and the Racing Post on the Saturday is a complete waste of time, I've already made my selection.
Therefore it's obvious that I make my bets as late as possible and take advantage of ALL sources, both Internet and traditional paper based.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. Much appreciated. Feeling a bit down when I posted yesterday, a losing day again today but got to take it on the chin. Yesterday was a sore one though, missing winners is not a good feeling !!!!
Currently working through the Nevison book myself, good read so far. Will let you know what I think when I finish it.

Thanks for the comments chaps, NPNG I've added your blog on my links, all the best with it. Regarding the papers, I'm pretty sure about my selections before I read the Saturday papers, its just to ensure I've not missed anything obvious.
