Two teams at the opposite ends of the form ladder. Scunthorpe Utd are now bottom after struggling in recent weeks to find the net, whilst Stoke have moved into 3rd place and a win tonight will lift them into top spot.
3rd bet placed at Corals, lets hope it continues to be lucky for me.
Running balance: £1,172.02
Post script: I have to admit that I've wasn't that concerned when Scunthorpe went 2-0 up inside 25 minutes, Stoke have the fire power to trouble anyone in this league as their 4-2 at Wolves last week showed. Was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a goal before half time, but 3 Stoke goals in 14 minutes in the second half ironically saw me hanging on for the last 25 minutes!!
That's the first 3 of hopefully 10 bets in my February Recovery Plan, which I put into place following a disastrious back to back losing Sunday last week. So I now need 6 successful bets out of 7 remaining games. A strike rate of 85%, which is still a tall ask. I already have the games I want to bet on in the back of my head, but I'll keep them to myself for the time being.
Coral's has really come good for me, 3 winning bets out of 3, and I think I'll stick with this particualr shop (Tilgate, Crawley) as long as they can post odds that will at least match my local William Hill (Three Bridges, Crawley).
