Having luckily refrained from betting on the first game due to my very wise 1st rule, I did watch the game as Horsham are a local club and although they put a good performance in, Swansea missed a host of chances. I don't expect the fairy tail to continue in the replay, and with the victor drawn at home against Havant and Waterloovile in the 3rd round, there is a great chance to progress to the 4th round for the Swans.
Hopefully Alan Mansfield will play for Horsham having missed the first game through suspension. Alan was the keeper for one of my local clubs, Three Bridges, for a long time and was a great servant in that time. He deserves his 15 minutes of fame (although don't play too well Alan ;) thanks).
Running balance: £1,188.98
Post script: Easy 6-2 victory in the end for Swansea, although Horsham started off well and took the lead twice. Moves my balance on to an all time high and that's where it will stay until the weekend as this weeks football isn't that enticing.
Off to Chelsea this evening for a corporate jolly, the promise of unlimited beer sounds very inviting. First time to Stanford Bridge as well so looking forward to it. As for the game, I can't see any value in the bets on offer, Chelsea are through and Valencia are out.
