Bet 11: £100 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers @ 2/11

The Torquay game was called off today, so I've plumped for an American Football game (I do follow this quite intently). My choice is the unbeaten New England Patriots, who are gunning to become the first team since Miami in the 70's to go a season unbeaten (ironically Miami are looking at going win less for an entire season, a feat again not achieved since the 70's).

Now in the last couple of weeks the wheels have almost come off; there were narrow wins against the Eagles and the Ravens, and in the first game New England were 1/40 to win. A team that good doesn't get bad overnight and I fully expect a much better performance tonight against a Steelers team that recently only beat the pathetic Dolphins 3-0.

Running balance: £1,172.31

Post script: Easy victory in the end, following quite a tense start where it was quite close. Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL at the moment and was class again tonight.
After placing the bet, I realised that the margin of victory in terms of points needs a bit of clarification as I can't enter a winning margin of 20+ points as it would distort the running average. Therefore for American Football, 7 points NFL = 1 goal. For example a 21 point victory in the NFL would equal a 3 goal margin of victory for the stats.

Post post script: William Hill paid me out on odds of 2/11 rather than the 1/6 I thought the game was. Only £1.52 more than I expected but it all counts!! I have updated the odds and running balance accordingly.
