West Ham have approved a lot this season under Alan Curbishley, but Chelsea are very strong at home (not lost in 70 home league games) and have a very good record in London derbies (unbeaten in their last ten). West Ham have still to beat a top ten team this season, it seems their strength is beating the weaker teams consistently. Spurs should have beaten them last week, and that was played at Upton Park.
My only doubt is that Chelsea have had a couple of draws at home against much similarly weaker teams in Everton and Rosenberg, although I feel more comfortable more Terry is back leading the team.
Running balance: £1,101.51
Post script: That was hard work watching a supposed 1/4 shot!! West Ham to their credit really applied themselves in the first half, doing too well you could say. In the second half they became a bit more adventerous, and the game opened up a lot more. This really suited Chelsea and they duly got the goal they needed with exactly quarter of an hour to go.
I now have enough in the bank to actually lose a bet and still be in the black, I find that will take the pressure off some what.
