A little obscure I know, but East Fife have been unstoppable to date in the 3rd Division, winning every single one of their 7 home games in the league. Brechin on the other hand have only picked up 2 points on their travels in the league.
The only reason I believe that they are near to even money is based purely on the fact that Brechin are one division higher, although they are second from bottom and have struggled to find any rhythm at all this season.
Running balance: £1,075.79
Post script: First defeat for me tonight, although I've had a good run to start me off. Perhaps got a bit too confident too quickly. Will have a couple of days researching the weekend games and come back. One game I will avoid is Man Utd v Derby; the home team is 1/10 and the last time I remember those odds, it was when United played Sunderland at home (yes, the worst team ever in the history of the Premiership) two seasons ago and it finished 0-0.
At least East Fife lost the game outright. Nothing worse in the cup than seeing the two teams draw, then your original selection goes through in extra time when your bet is dead and buried.
I'll look for a 1/4 of better shot so that I can get back above that sacred £100 profit figure.
